Let us take you to Korcula – the picturesque island with rich history and wonderful nature. The Korcula Town is called Little Dubrovnik because of its historic architecture. Korcula has been probably inhabited since the prehistoric times. Not only is that place full of historic monuments and ancient buildings, but also it is considered as a birth-town of Marco Polo – a merchant traveller who has reached China.
We will drive from Dubrovnik to Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula and cross the sea with a boat to get to Korcula town. On our route to Orebic you will visit Ston – the charming old town which is famous for its impressive city walls which are known as the “European wall of China” . You will find here also the oldest salt mine in Europe where salt is still being produced the same way that it used to be centuries ago. On our way back we can stop in some local wineries to taste its best wines.
